How does the registration work?

In a few steps to your voluntary work.

After you contacted  us, we will send you the registration form and all neccessary information. 

Will I be picked up from the airport?

Our supervisor or one of their employees will pick you up at the airport. We will inform you about more details after you completed your registration.

How good do my English skills have to be?

Your English skills should be at an intermediate level. You should be able to use it in everyday situations.

How many hours per day will I help?

The hours you spend supporting the project can vary.

In general it will be around five hours per day at 5 days a week.

Can I organize my free time myself?

Of course you can organize your free time yourself. However, you should be back in your accommodation before it gets dark.

Can I eat vegetarian food?

A vegetarian diet is in no way a problem. Just let us know your preference of vegetarian food beforehand so we can arrange everything for you.

Is there internet and electricity?

You will have access to internet as well as to electricity. However a short outage is always possible, therefore bringing a a power bank along can be useful.

Do I need a backpack?

You can arrive with a suitcase or backpack. If you want to travel across the country after your voluntary work, we recommend a backpack. You should bring along a daypack .

Do I need to exchange money beforehand?

We advise you to have at least US $ 200 with you, since Dollars are accepted in many places. You can change money at the airport immediately after your arrival. Also there are ATMs in larger cities.

Do I need a gift?

You can bring great joy to everyone by just bringing small things.

Talk to us if you would like to bring a gift. We can give you a few tips based on your project choice.

How much should I budget for my leisure activities?

The amount of your pocket money depends largely on how you will spend your free time. We are happy to answer this question in more detail to you when knowing what kind of activities you are planning.

Who can I contact if I have problems on site?

Our supervisors or another person on site will be there for you in case any problems arises. We will inform you about the contact person before your departure.

 

Is there a washing machine on site?
 

Unfortunately, there is no washing machine on site. However, tubs for washing are gladly provided. For a small fee, the employees in Tanzania also take on this task.
